Barker’s Marque has one foot in New Zealand and one in the USA. Gillett Johnson lives in Lafayette, California, Ed Barker in Marblehead, MA. Together they offer superior service and support to our customers. Ed’s winemaker brother, Simon, together with his viticulturalist Kiwi wife Vanessa, manages and tends the family vineyard in Blind River in the Awatere Valley, a terroir increasingly recognized for fresher and more mineral wines.
It is here Simon and Vanessa lavish personal care and attention on the vines and make wine with “minimal intervention between vine and wine”.
The wines are attractively packaged, fun wines, bringing Texture, Balance and Subtlety to the Intensity of the world famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs.
